Correspondence, book lists, telegrams, memos, soundscribers and certificates of posting chiefly regarding the acquisition of books for the Bonar Law Bennett Library and other institutions including the Old Manse Library (Newcastle, N.B.), the Law Library, the Lord Beaverbrook School in Campbellton, N.B. and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Also discussed are donations including Rudyard Kipling, Lord Bennett and Winston Churchill letters; a gold one-third guineau piece and the first Lord Stanmore's sword. Mention is also made of the Bonar Law portrait painted by John Bulloch Souter; the request by researchers to view the papers of the Duke of Kent, Bonar Law and Lloyd George; the acquisition of labels to identify portraits hung in the Bonar Law Bennett Library; the Simon MacGillivray diary, an item in Lord Beaverbrook's Special Collection and the addition of Russian books to the library. Two copies of the 1960-1961 Bonar Law Bennett Library Annual Report are also included in the file.
